Assistant Finance Manager

The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for monthly closing of books of accounts for the Americas Region, preparation of financial statements with appropriate closing schedules, managing the internal and statutory audits, as well as providing support to regional business operation.

Responsibilities:

        • Book closing Activities:
          • Maintaining statutory book and records of PCCW Global, Inc. Working closely with Corp
            Sec and Legal / Regulatory teams to make sure statutory filings are done timely and
            accurately.
          • Independently handle financial accounting matters of the US entity, including but not
            limit to:
            • Month‐end closings (including interim & year end where tighter deadlines and
              documentations are required),
            • Month end cut‐off process for proper accrual of revenue, cost and expenses
            • Prepare the balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statement along with schedules
              and the General Ledger balance reconciliations.
            • Preparation of bank reconciliations
        • Review of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to include:
          • Supporting the teams handling sub ledger transactions (i.e. AP, AR, bank, etc.) and
            provide early alert to relevant parties about unusual transactions identified at origin and
            be addressed.
          • Review the aging AP and AR and work with AP and AR teams to manage the aging
            receivables and payables.
          • Review the doubtful debts and work with HQ for necessary creation of doubtful
            reserves.
        • Audit Support:
            • Annual statutory audit of the US entity, being the single contact point between external
              auditor and HQ finance teams.
            • Drafting and finalizing of the financial statements with relevant notes to accounts.
        • Business Support:
          • Working closely with HQ finance teams to ensure transactions are handled in a manner
            consistent across the board;
          • Review Agent commission and maintain agent commission master data and
            agreements;
          • Support local sales and project management team on financial matters if required.

    Requirements:

          • Bachelor’s Degree with CPA / CA certification.
          • Minimum 4‐5 consecutive years of experience in month closing and financial reporting.
          • Telecommunication or Technology industry experience required
          • Experience in issuing audited annual financial statements and related schedules
          • Knowledge in IFRS and US GAAP
          • Knowledge of Oracle, Epicor or in any ERP systems
          • Microsoft Office – Excel expertise required, PowerPoint & Word
          • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication both verbal and written
          • Must understand protocol when interacting with management and be able to maintain a high
            degree of sensitivity and confidentiality
          • Must be able to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and have excellent time management skills
          • Must be able to work independently with minimum Management supervision, use initiative and
            possess a positive attitude towards teamwork
